i have just purchased a kamco machine. my house pipes are all black and im going to use the machine on them. obviously i have located the heating tank in the loft. is it just a case of blanking the clod feed and the expansion?

Kev,

Have you been on the Kamco training course. If not I suggest you do.

Its a free 1 day course at the hq in St Albans. It really does make sense before doing this yourself.

If you dont even know what you need to do with the f&e tank then I suggest you dont tackle this yourself at the moment.

"my house pipes are all black and im going to use the machine on them"

the pipes are black ??? how do you know, have you taken them out anc checked ?

is the water black ?

what problems have you had with your system ? for a powerflush to be required ?

Pressurised system ? if not - get it wrong you could end up needing a whole new system.

the reason i want to do it is that when i took a radiator off to paper behind it the colour of the water inside the radiator was black so i would just like to clean it out. i have used the machine on a combi system and u just take off one radiator and connect to flow and return.

i would just like to know how it is done when u have a heating tank. i would presume you would blank the cold feed and the expansion! is this correct? cheers
