REPLACING THE PLASTIC FEET UNDER THE TOILET SEAT

Hi,

I've bought a Romsey Classic bathroom suite from B & Q.

It had been installed for 6 months, and two of the plastic feet have broken and fallen off.

Cheap parts (less than 2p I estimate), but they want people with broken feet to spend £55 on a new toilet seat.

B and Q shop representative have stated that they have no problem with the "Quality" toilet seat, and feel I should either consult a plumber or buy a new toilet seat.

The Seat itself is fine, but the feet are awful.

CAN I BUY REPLACEMENTS FOR THESE FEET ANYWHERE?

Are they called toilet seat feet or something else?

Buy a couple of rubbers (erasers) and use a contact adhesive to stick them to the underside of the seat. WH Smiths or Staples etc sell them in white or various shades....

Re B&Q. Goods are supposed to be "fit for purpose" and Jo Public wouldn`t expect to have such an issue so soon after purchase. Ask your local Trading Standards what they think (in Tel directory under County Council or Local Authorities banner).

A work colleague told me someone on his team had no satisfaction from B&Q and so started to dismantle the requisite part from a bathroom display. Bit drastic but it worked as they quickly supplied a new part!

Good luck, EyeTry
