Yet another shower leak

Hi,

This time it's from underneath the bath tap, above the shower. I did think of taking a spanner and attempting to tighten the tap to the bath tub or attempt to replace the seal between the tap and the bath tub but as the D in DIY in my case stands for distroy, I'm not sure what to do.

Is there some sort of specialised tap to bath sealent I can get instead?

Also are those new plastic hinged strips any good, the one you can use in place of silicon sealent?

Thanks

George

Most taps come with a rubber washer, this makes the watertight seal between the tap and the bath. You need a new rubber seal, you can probably buy them if not get a square of rubber and make your own.

Replacing the washer means removing the tap. But will guarantee a watertight seal.
