For a few weeks now our shower head and bath spout has hardly any water coming out of it and the temperature is hard to control (much hotter than usual). Both are operated by the same mixer. We are unable to have a shower as its so weak. We have taken off the shower head completely now also. We have also noticed the toilet is taking longer to fill up and the sink tap also has a slower flow.
Could it be limescale/debris build up in the pipes leading from the tank in the loft? I would be grateful if anyone could provide some help.

If by sink tap you mean the kitchen sink this should be directly fed by mains water. If that flow is low your mains pressure may have dropped or there may be a restriction / blockage in your stopcock. All the cold taps in my house, along with the toilet cistern are mains fed. One of the cold water tanks in the loft is for pushing hot water from my cylinder and the other one is a feed and expansion tank to keep the central heating system primed. From your post it certainly looks like there's a problem with some if not all of your cold water feeds. If all you need to look at the mains supply and if only some are affected you may well be right about a build up in the pipes from your cold water tank. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, no sorry I meant the sink in the bathroom. The pressure downstairs in the kitchen hasn't changed, everything downstairs runs off the mains. The whole bathroom gets its water from the cold water tank in the loft. How does one go about getting rid of a build up in the pipes? Is there a product available to buy which will get rid of the limescale etc?

have you been up and checked your header tank? SOunds like the blockage may well be in the actual tank... drain down and investigate.
