Bath with no tap holes

Hi,
I am installing a new bath that has no tap holes, its a plastic bath and 5mm thick.
What kind of drill should i use?

don't use a drill. Use a 32mm hole saw such as part number 12428 from Screwfix. This also needs an arbour and pilot drill to fit in a drill.
Drill the pilot hole first then fit the saw and cut gently through the bath.

A low powered one, like a 12 volt battery powered one that has a touch sensitive trigger.
Drill from the top not the bottom. Start slowly.

Hi Newps,
Did the bloke who sold you the bath sell you any taps to go with it?
Did he mention that the bath might be one that you fit the taps on the wall over the bath?
I would go back and ask the seller the question of which drill bit to use first?
Otherwise use an electric one

a hole saw with built in pilot bit should be fine, use it at low speed.

sound advice but once i have drilled the pilot hole i always start from underneath. go in just a PART of the way mid you - say a quarter of the way through maximum. take great care not to go all the way through.
THEN start from the top using the same pilot hole. as you have already part cut through from underneath you avoid break-out and splintering when the hole saw passes through. this can happen a lot when drilling acrylic/fibreglass as the glass fibres tend to snap rather than cut.
just a helpful hint. personally i find it makes for a much neater hole.
