Hi all,
Installing new rads, not bad at pipe work bends and soldering. But never put new rads on from start (not a plumber).
My question is; New valves, the irons that screws in to bottom of rads either side that connect to valves/thermal controls, It seems that these have a slight taper on, what is best way to seal the joint is it using a compound or ptfe tape or is there something else? Any other tips appreciated too!

Wind about 8 - 10 turns of ptfe tape around each thread. This should be sufficient to give a good seal.
