Maybe its just me but our house is cold no matter how long the heating is on. The radiators are warm but not as warm as anyone elses I know even work!! The thermostat is up as high as it will go. We even left it on overnight last night but it didn't even make that much different this morning. Can anyone help.

Are the radiators hot to touch ?

You could try balancing the system, there should be a 11oC difference between the flow and return, this means heat is being emitted to the room and not just circulating round the system.

The problem may also be incorrect radiator sizing and lack of cavity insulation., not necessarily anything wrong with the boiler itself.

Thank you for your replies. The radiators have now been bled. The boiler is new and is an Ariston combi. The radiators downstairs are hottish to touch but upstair not very warm at all. I'm going to bed with a cold nose!!! There is some dampness from outside which we are trying to control with a dehumidifier. The balancing of the radiators sounds good but I don't know how to do this.

Hiya mate,

Go to the section on this site called DIY projects and look up central heating - balancing. That will help!

Link below If it comes through.
