Best Bolier System

Hi,
Can anyone advise me on the best boiler system for my property.
I am in the process of purchasing a 3 bed detached property and the existing central heating system will need replacing. We are hoping to extend the property at some point into the loft and therefore would like to get a new central heating system installed now which will be able to cope with the extension at a later date. (there are 4 of us living in this property)
We were told by a plumber that he recommended what was called a system setup rather than a COmbi Boiler? Is this correct. Any advice would be much appreciated.
