Hi,

I want to get rid of my bathroom radiator and replace it with an electric one.
My question is, would it be enough to connect the two end pipes toghether after I remove the radiator so the central heating system will have a continuity. Do I have to modify anything else?

Do not connect the pipes together as hot water will use this quick route to bypass the rest of the system. Just cap the pipes off and leave them.

One note of caution though, bathroom rads are often used as a bypass, so if it is to be removed, ensure there is at least another rad on the system acting as a substitute. Bypass rads must remain open at all times, so must have any thermostatic valves removed, if a normal valve, the cap should be removed or replaced with a tamper proof lockshield type. Simply ensure the rad cannot be turned off by hand without the use of a tool.

Thanks for your answer, before capping the pipes, I will close both taps on the bathroom radiator to see if other radiators throughout the house are heating up properly.
