Noisy call water cistern ball valve All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I replaced my cold cistern ball valve a few months ago. It has recently started to resonate for about 10-15 minutes just before it finally shuts off completely. The noise echoes round the rising main and is sufficiently loud to be heard throughout the house. Any suggestions as to a cure?

Turn down your main stop cock a little,also did you use the correct ball cock - high pressure?

Just to add to the above, cheaper ones are more often than not noisy. Its worth paying a few extra quid.
