hello,
some help please if you could.

all of my house radiators come on, except the kitchen one (furthest from the ball cock and boiler if its relevant). its been bled and comes luke warm at best if i shut other rads off downstairs.

i have a baxi boiler with the pressure gauge at the mid point, with a valve to open to increase the pressure. i've lived here for 3 years now, and I dont think it has ever worked properly.

5 other rads downstairs work but the one in the shower room (on the same wall of the house) doesnt get AS hot as the others

any advice would be appreciated

thanks

BG

The pipework to the radiator may be partially blocked with sludge or one of the valves may be partially closed restricting flow. If a thermostatic valve is fitted it may be faulty or seized.

It may be the system simply needs balancing (See projects section).

First of all, turn off all the hottest radiators. Does this force the rad to get hot? If it does, then the fault may be balancing where hot water is just finding an easier route around the system.
