Radiators cold in the middle

Hello,

My first post on this site - it looks pretty good, but I couldn't find a specific answer to my problem - so here it is...

A couple of the rads (not necessarlly the farthest away from the cylinder) are hot at both sides but cold in the middle, hotter at the top than the bottom.

I've bled them and there's no air in them - any ideas?

Thanks

Mick

It is possible the radiator is sludged up and the only path for the hot water is up one side, across the top and down the other end.

Ideally it needs to be removed and fully flushed out.

Hi Mick,

Classic signs of sludge.
Google power flushing, but you may want to attempt this on your own depending on your skill set.

P.S. switch pump speed up if it has speed settings.
