Change in shower pressure.

We have just replaced the mixer shower valve in our bathroom. Our old shower was also a mixer valve but shower pressure was great. Suddenly after fitting a new mixer valve the shower pressure has dropped right off. New valve is a thermostatic mixer valve, old was simply a mixer valve. Nothing else has changed - height of new mixer valve is same as old etc. Not sure why the pressure has dropped off or what we can do about it. Not keen to fit a pump as didn't need one before...... any ideas or advice?

You've reduced the flow rate not the pressure by fitting a thermostatic valve rather than a bog standard mixer. You may need to pump it I'm afraid.

Hi have you replaced it with the same LOW pressure type as i assume your old system worked of storage tank in the roof and from the hot water cylinder, and not with one the works on a combi if its not a low pressure one that will be the cause of your problem as well, so check out what model you have used
