Installation queries with Vaillant ecotec + 831

I am looking to replace my old back boiler with a Vaillant Ecotec + 831 fitted in the airing cupboard (where old cylinder and pipework is). I will fit the bolier to the wall and prepare most of the pipework and then get a local plumber to come and check and hook it up. Can anyone help with the following questions:
1) The flue will be side exit but needs approx 100mm offset. Can I take the flue off the top of the boiler at 45 degrees (looking forwards and left) and then use 1 x 45 bend.
2) Can the condensate drain go straight into the cast iron soil stack (in the cupboard). I have been told yes by one installer and another one wants to run plastic pipe half way round the house to the outside drain.
3) I would like to fit the Vaillant 140 digital timer (direct to the boiler). Will the VRT 50 digital room stat work okay with this or should I use the basic vaillant room stat.
Thanks in anticipation.
