where would i find the flow rates on my instanteous electric water heater?

But seriously if you don't even give the manufacturer and model details how do you expect a sensible answer?
I would suggest you look in the handbook. If you don't have the handbook use your search engine to see if you can find one online. Failing that why not ring the manufacturer?
