I'm due to get a kitchen fitted and i'm wondering when is the best time to do the plumbing.

Do I rip the old kitchen out and then do the plumbing before the electric's, plastering and finally the kitchen installation or is their a better order of doing it?

The best time is after the plastering, less for them to plaster round and no mess around pipe clips etc.

You can then fit new pipework and new clips to the new wall surface before fitting units etc.

-electrics first, as normally means chasing walls -
-plastering
-plumbing
-kitchen installation

As such there is no hard and fast rule. It depends on what needs to be done. There is no point in fixing the plumbing then trying to plaster neatly up to the pipes. Conversely, it does not make sense to plaster then chop holes in the wall to bury pipes!

Generally as a rule of thumb, remove kitchen, do electrics, plaster then plumb.

Think the job through. Maybe you need to split the plumbing into first, second then a third fitting.
