Hot water clylinder problem

I have just fitted a towel rail/radiator into my bathroom. After filling the system back up the water in the cylinder is feeding back up into the F&E tank causing it to overflow. I have checked the coil in the cylinder for leakage and found no problem. I have checked for blockages in the central heating system and found none. As I live in a bungalow could the reason be that the top of the towel rail is higher than the top of the hot water cylinder? Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

The height of the radiator will have no effect on the problem you describe and if you have only made alterations necessary to fit the rad then exactly why you have suddenly started this problem is difficult to answer without more info.

Over pumping is caused by the feed and expansion pipe connections being too far apart on the system causing a pressure differential.
