New en suite

by russellfl » Mon Oct 12, 2009 1:56 pm

Hi, can anyone advise me, I want to put a 2nd en-suite in my bungalow. and I have checked that Ihave a clear run for the soil pipe between the main bathroom and the new en-suite (to be) though it would run under part of the main living room. My question is, a) is it ok to run under a living room floor, and b) should I expect much noise when the toilet is flushed as it could be embarrassing when royalty comes calling (Mother in Law).

Cheers

Sure the pipe can be under a living room floor. What sort of floor is it? And can you maintain the correct fall required for the waste to drain?

Thanks plumbbob. The floor is a floating type and there's plenty of under floor space to get the fall in.

So does that mean you can run such a pipe under any floor and it doesn't matter as long was the fall is adequate?
