I currently have a Aquastream Thermo shower which is very good but I'm due to get a combi boiler fitted shortly as currently running with an old backboiler. The shower is at the opposite end of the bath to the taps and behind the wall the shower is fitted to is the airing cupboard with the tank and pipes etc. Can I use the existing piping to the current shower for a seperate mixed shower to be installed where the current one is or does it have to come from the bath taps? There is no wall at that end of the bathroom which is the problem, just a window. thanks

With a combi boiler, it makes no difference where on the system the pipes are connected. In fact the rules only apply to low pressure systems such as with your back boiler.

When the combi is fitted it will mean significant changes to all the plumbing including the supplies to your existing shower. Your gas installer will include any changes necessary to make the shower work.

You do know of course, you cannot use a pumped shower with a combi?
