Toilet and sink not emptying

by Spanner » Fri Nov 27, 2009 11:19 am

Help! My main toilet has recently starting filling up with water whenever I empty the sink. The sink is very slow to empty and so is the toilet whenever you flush it(or empty the sink). The bath has no problems emptying and the en-suite next door has no problem.
What do you think could be the problem and how do I go about fixing it?

sounds like you have a restriction/blockage in your soil stack, if you check outside on the soil stack i think you'll find the bath is on a different boss on the stack or on otherside of a "Y" piece so it is flowing well, your blockage is above that, if modernish house should be a screw off access hatch on soil stack so you can rod it,
