I was wondering if anyone can advise me as to whether I can fit an electric pump to the mains water pipe with a combination boiler? In the summer in particular we have very low mains water pressure, to the point where our comination shower does not work, so thought I could fit a pump that I could start up when the pressure was too low?

It is against water regulations to pump mains cold water.
Basically if there's any break in the pipework under ground expecially next to sewers etc you could be pulling waste/contaminated water into your drinking supply.

Thanks for this information, I wondered whether there was a restriction on this! Well sounds like we will have to put up with the occation morning when we cannot shower unless we go back to a conventional boiler and header tank.
Thanks Glenda
