Radiator Thermostatic Valve size

Hello just trying to find out some info

any one know what size allen key i have to use to get the bottom pipe out of the rad so i can fit a thermo valve as it has a allen key head inside the pipe, and i need to get it off to put the new one in that came with the thermostaic valve as new vale is 15mm going in to rad.
old one looks like a 22mm size union on it

go into any plumber's merchant and ask for a radiator key - don't confuse it with a bleed valve key. should be a standard size, though there are some oddities out there - if so get a universal radiator key.

this is a standard key (or spanner as they call it here):

Off the top of my head ,I can't think of the size but I know in my area the local pound shops sell them. And before you ask, they are a pound

Radiator Spanner (Screwfix do 'em) or;

14mm allen key usually works or;

A large flat bladed screwdriver

Top one is the proper item but the others work too.
