Hi, I expect you've had this question many times before but can you tell me please; What is the difference between a double panel single convector radiator, and a double panel double convector radiator? Is it something to do with the way the two panels are connected together? Thanks for any help you can give.

Modern radiators have fins on the inside of the panels making them convector radiators.

A double single has one set of fins fixed to the front panel. Double double has fins on both panels.

The convectors are the fins on the radiators, zig-zag bit of metal.

Double panel single convector, will have one set of fins between the two panels. A double panel double convector will have two sets of fins.

The fins trap and restrict the airflow - so heat is transferred to the air quicker.
