Gas central heating inhibitor loss.

by frankino » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:00 pm

I have recently drained three radiators for temporary removal to paint the walls behind them.
I have now replaced them and topped up system using fill up valves under boiler.
What I am concerned about is the diulution of inhibitor, leading to pipe corrosion.
I have got an Alpha CD50 wall mounted, fan assisted, room sealed, gas fired, high efficiency, condensing combination boiler with unvented hot water storage.
Can you advise how I replace the lost/diluted inhibitor and with which product?
Thanks in advance.

frankino,
Ideally you should add the same inhibitor which is already in the system - have a look for labels. See if you can buy the same make in a mastic gun tube and introduce this in a radiator.
end
