Hi,my daughter has moved to a ground floor apartment,there is a shower/bath mixer tap which has a quarter turn handle on hot and cold,the cold feed is very high and this totally kills the hot feed,i have tried turning cold water pressure down but to no avail,i am considering putting her an electric shower in or maybe a thermostatic mixer but am unsure which is the best road to go down,any help would be much appreciated thanks.

A thermostatic mixer will be no good as you'll have the same problem as you're having now, obviously not a combi/mains pressure hot water.

Unless you take the cold feed for the shower from the header tank so both feeds are at the same pressure

no its an all electric apartment so its got a tank,what about a prv?

As you said in your first post it's a ground floor apartment - if you do as plumbbob says the cold pressure will be very poor - like the hot is now, you could pump it.

But as you say the cold water is good so why not use it - go for an electric shower.
