I own a BAXI Combi 80eco. Looking to install a thermostatic shower but not sure if the pressure is suitable. Water flow rate at maximum setting is 9 litres / min. (also what does maximum setting entail).

Any help appreciated.

The pressure has little bearing on how well a mixer shower will work. What is important is the flow rate which is determined partly by the boiler and partly by the incoming mains water supply.

You can calculate flow rate by timing how long it takes for your existing hot supply to fill a lemonade bottle. Check this against the manufacturers data for the shower you would like to fit.

The pressue comes directly from the mains and has high pressure rate (flow rate) whic should be helpful however as you say the flow from the boiler is also imprtant.

The maximum setting was the description per the boiler details, however your explanation is of great help
