Replacing float valve - Part 1 or 2 ?

The cold water tank in my loft has a constant drip from the float valve and will not fully shut off even when you apply a little upwards pressure to the float arm
The valve body looks corroded as well and due to a new float valve being inexpensive, a repair kit or service kit doesn't seem worth the bother and I would rather replace the item for new
Just want to know the basic differance between a Part 1 and Part 2 valve and is there a reason for fitting one type over the other
I can see that the Part 2 valves have a bend on the float arm and that the water exits via a plastic spout on the top of the valve but I presume that theres more to it than that
Also some replacement valves are rated as either Low / High pressure. How do I know which one I need for my system
Thanks in advance for any info..
Cheers !
