Cleanup water after pipe leak

We had a cast iron pipe under our house spring a leak. It had been leaking for quite a while evidently, our pest control guy found it. He thought it was sewer water, however our plumber has determined it is the waste water from our laundry. The pipe is being fixed. My question concerns the clean up of the water that has already spilled. I can fit in fans to circulate the air and dry the water, however, how do I treat the ground where the water was spilled and has sat for some time? I have had "lime salt" recommended but I can find no reference to "lime salt" or "Lyme salt". Any advice is appreciated.

Using lime is a good way to neutralise the ground to prevent bad smells, you can buy it in pellet form.

You can buy lime from most garden centres
