Mixer shower

I'm about to install a replacement mixer shower in my bathroom. The existing pipes (cold & hot) run from the loft down the outside of a stud-partition wall in the bathroom to the current surface-mounted mixer. Can I re-route these pipes so that they are hidden inside the partition wall?

thanks

Are the existing pipes copper or painted? You can buy chrome plated pipes that actually don't look too bad but still obviously visible. If you really want to hide them - you will need to get into the partition wall some how and basically leave tails poking out normally at 150mm centres for the new valve body to connect on. So you will need to some minor building work to hide them successfully.
