My shower waiste has gradually been getting worse, put some different chemical cleaners down n got slightly better but stil not brilliant!! The trap is clear, think it's in the pipwork from the trap to the vent stack (about 2m) any ideas would be appreciated-should i try a plunger??

Try a plunger but if this doesn't work buy one of the long flexible waste pipe cleaners which have a small brush head on the end.
