Locating best place to plumb water from and how

by billybaabaa » Tue Aug 16, 2011 8:09 pm

I am to move into a new house soon and wanted to plumb in a washer into the garage. I have the option of plumbing a line from the bathroom(1st floor) , however this would have to go through the walls of the house into the garage. The only other water supply would be via the kitchen, however the kitchen is the other side of the dining room.
Do I need to take the floorboards up and plumb in through the walls of the house or can I go out around the outside of the house??
Much help appreciated
:)

Down to preference really but I for one am not keep on seeing piping or cabling on the exterior of buildings. There are also the winter months to think about where frost can get at it.

If you feel that your best option is from the kitchen then maybe you could have a look at using plastic pipe and trenching it below ground to the garage.

This would give extra protection through the winter months and also be out of sight.
