dissapearing shower hose

Hi
Ive just fitted a new bath and taps which came with hand held shower. The hand held shower hose drops down a hole in the side of the bath so when not used hangs unseen under the bath and pulls out when used. I expect with use inevitably water will run down the outside of the hose and get under the bath, is there a remedy for this?
