I live in a bungalow and want to install a power shower with the hot supply only pumped separately, and with cold supply to the mixer valve coming from the rising mains (rather than from a cold storage tank). Can I do it and does it work??
Thank you

Very few models of mixer shower will allow unbalanced feed pressures. Personally, I avoid them anyway because of the increased risk of scalding.
There are several other negative reasons for not using unbalanced feeds so avoid it if at all possible.

You could use an equalizer for this, but as said it's not wise to supply a shower valve with unbalanced pressures or flow rates.
