NEGATIVE HEAD WATER SUPPLY

by PLJ » Tue Jul 24, 2007 7:02 pm

I HAVE RECENTLY COMPLETED A LOFT CONVERSION WITH EN SUIT SHOWER AND WASH BASIN. THE SHOWER IS NO PROBLEM AS IT IS ELECTRIC AND RELIES ON MAINS PRESSURE, THE PROBLEM IS THE HOT WATER TAP ON THE WASH BASIN! I CANNOT LIFT THE COLD TANK HIGH ENOUGH TO GIVE A HEAD OF WATER AND A PUMPED SYSTEM SEEMS OVER THE TOP AS I ONLY WANT THIS ONE TAP TO WORK! IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSERT A SMALL PUMP IN THE 15MM FEED TO THE TAP AS THIS RUNS ABOUT 6INCHES BELOW THE TANK AND HAS A SUPPLY OF HOT WATER , I DON'T MIND IF I HAVE TO MANUALLY SWITCH IT ON!
