Hi

I need to join two 25 gallon tanks in the loft for my new shower & was wondering if I need to use brass fittings to connect them together? Could I use Mcalpine compression tank fittings instead? I should use a 28mm connector according to salamander but is there any reason I couldn't use 32mm Mcalpine fittings as there would be grater flow & it would also be cheaper than using copper & brass.

28mm is the minimum bore of pipe connecting the two tanks so the 32mm McAlpine would be alright.

Don't forget to have the ball valve feed in one tank and the outlet in the other tank. This is to ensure the water doesn't become stagnant in one tank.
