Can you recommend a decent shower pump?

by Sagalout1954 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:04 pm

Ample pressure in our en suite shower to run our thermostatic shower.

Just had another one fitted in family bathroom but because of route the pipes have to go it's like showering under a watering can........needs more welly! Clearly needs a pump for this one but so many to choose from. Can anyone recommend a mid price, reasonable quality one, but not so BIG it drains our hot water tank in the blink of an eye. Thanks

Salamanda are a good pump manufacturer, you may need to increase your cylinder size if you are running two showers especially with a pump on. I take it you have a bog standard cylinder at mo? (120 litres)

You can run 15 litres a min on a power shower, 6 litres per min on an eco shower head.

So 10 mins in shower would be 150 litres.

Would agree that salamander pumps are pretty good, if you give (http://www.salamanderpumps.co.uk/pumpwise) a call they can talk you though and advise which is the best pump for your solution.
