We just had our old boiler replaced with a combi

The plumber disconnected and drained the big metal tank in the roof, but refused to remove it

How can I get it out?

Had two handy men say, it won't fit through the loft hole, and they need to use a electric saw to cut it up, and they refuse to do

My gut feel is that you can cut it up without an electric saw, any ideas how to remove it?

Perhaps I'm just old fashioned, but I used to accept it as part of the job to get the old rubbish out. I used to use a reciprocating saw or a jig saw, with a metal cutting blade to simply cut the tank in half.
Whatever you do, DO NOT use an angle grinder, the sparks would be a serious fire risk.
