How can I Remove a Rusty, Cammed-out Screw?

Hi,
I want to replace the waste-trap on my bath (due to a leak). The screw holding the metal cover that fits into the plug-hole in the bath is very rusty and has 'cammed-out'. Consequently, I am having difficulty getting the thing out. Anyone got any ideas how I can get this screw out? Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dave

I wonder why it's not a brass screw, you would think someone would have had more sense than use a steel one. But that's not helping. The best thing I can suggest is to drill it out. Nice new drill bit, start with a small size in as near the centre of the screw as you can get, and increase drill size till you've removed the head.
