Queries about Installing new Shower Flange and Pipe Pumped by Monsoon Universal

Gentlemen,
We are installing a thermostatic mixer which will be pumped with a monsoon universal. We have negative head. 2 questions.
The HW cylinder is old but perfectly sound. We decided on an ******* flange for positional reasons. Plus no need to have to rejig the existing HW feed from the top.
We are now concerned as to whether scale build up on the inside is likely to make a watertight seal impossible. Ideas please?
Also the 22mm feed to the shower needs a few 90 degree bends. As it reduces to 15mm anyway is there any point in being concerned about the restricted flow caused by acute bends (thinking about slow bend elbows instead of acute) when it's reducing/going to a shower head anyway?
Many thanks for any opinions.
