Connect Visible Chrome Waste to Waste in Wall so That it is Neat

Hello,

I am trying to install a chrome waste pipe that is visible under a washbasin. It is supplied with a chromed cover/flange that will cover the connection and hole in the wall.

My question is how should I install this so that it is neat?

I was thinking to connect it to a compression fit elbow inside the wall so that the full length of the chrome pipe extends from the wall. The tiler can then work around the pipe and I can cover his work with the cover that was supplied.

My concern is the security of a compression fitting buried in the wall.

Do any of you have a better or neater solution?

Thanks in advance.
