Cold Water Tank that is Dripping but Redundant?

Hello

hope this it the right place to post!

I've got a water tank in the loft, which is redundant as far as i know, yet in the last couple of days, i can hear dripping from the pipes behind the chimney breast, which is in my bedroom.

The whole old system is still in place behind the chimney, I have a new combi boiler system in place and there is no problem with that.

I'm sorry if i haven't put it across correctly as i don't even know if what i'm thinking is correct?

Should i just get in the loft and look into the tank and see if there is any water making it's way in to it somehow?

can i stop it being fed, if it is, or should this have been done?

thanks for any help

Yes you will have to get up and look, maybe it 's feeding the cold water to the toilet, hope they haven't blanked off the outlet and left the incoming water commected
