Fitting a sink into a vanity unit

Hi

I have had a new bathroom fitted and the joiner has fitted the sink on to the worktop ok but when you look underneath where it meets the cupboard there is a wide gap which can't be filled neither can it be sealed.

We are having to get a new front for the cabinet and I dare not risk the joiner doing it again but we do not have a template of the sink so have no idea where to start in measuring the cutout hat will be required.

Any ideas would be gratfully received.

Thanks.

Can you not take the taps off the sink, and lie the sink upside down on the worktop and draw around it this will give you the shape. Then measure how much of a lip the sink has on it which will be in contact with the bench top ? hope this makes sense.
