Fitting Double Check Valve When Installing Outside Tap All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

Hi Guys,

When fitting an outside tap (HOT), I'm assuming you still need to fit a double check valve? - question is, will there be adequate pressure to open the valve?
I'm guessing this wouldn't be a problem for a pumped combi system? but what about a gravity fed system?

so it's not possible to get the 'syphon effect' on a hot tap? - just trying to understand the difference...
