I was wondering how I go about fitting a replacement float valve in my mains water tank?
See attached photos.
Cheers.

Turn water off at mains. Undo nut connecting valve to water pipe (outside of tank) undo nuts either side of tank wall to free the vale. replace with new ball valve in reverse order. See this page

OK thank you for replying I'm unemployed and on a very low income and need all the help I can get. I want to get the central heating working before the cold weather kicks in. The inlet pipe to the tank, the big nut on the outside of the tank. Is there going to be a collect underneath that I should wrap PTFE tape around. I don't want to crack the collet retightening the nut.

Hi
It's a bit hard to say, sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't one, it really depends on who installed it.
If you take your time and take care while doing it, you should be fine
Kind Regards
