Removal of Shower Plate and Thermostat Cartridge

Hi there,
Can anyone help advise how this shower plate and cartridge come off? the ring behind this just spins, so doesn't unscrew. The top part (the power control) comes off more easily, but I'm stuck on the thermostat/cartrifge.
There's nowhere on the shower externally that has a brand, and I need to find out the make and model of the cartridge so that I can order one and ask a plumber to replace it.
