Dripping Tap but No Obvious Way to Remove Cartridge and Tap Handles?

Dear all,
Moved into a new house and the kitchen sink mixer tap has a drip. Once every 15 secs or so.
I've seen tons of videos and advice how to fix, but no obvious way to remove 1/4 turn tap handles to change cartridge or replace O rings (which ever I find).
I think the system will have cartridges inside but no obvious way to get to them.
Videos mentioned "remove the caps on the tap handles" there are none.
"Undo the grubs behind the 1/4 turn taps to release tap handles" there are no grubs.
"unscrew the tap handle covers (Hot and cold symbols)" there are none.
The only thing I can find is a single screw at the base of the mixer tap neck which is as tight as possible.
I've attached an image of the mixer tap.
So my question to the forum is, should I try and yank off the tap handles? (which I have tried and they are on tight) Or shall I completely remove the assembly from the base?
Has anyone experienced something like this before?
The sink make is Carron Phoenix but unsure if the tap assemble is the same.
Sorry to ask as hoped to fix it myself.
