How far can a dishwasher be from the sink?

We have a small space to the left and slightly underneath our sink (between the washing machine and undersink cupboard), which is just too small to squeeze a slimline dishwasher into. We could however put the dishwasher on the wall running to the left of the washing machine (max 6 feet away from the sink pipes but around a corner). Is this feasible?

Hmmmm, I don't think you'll have a problem with the feed to the dishwasher as they are usually cold feed only. The problem is with the waste pipe. How far is that away?.

Not sure - presume it's directly behind the sink/washing machine as that's the outside wall. again would mean going round a corner to get to the dishwasher - is that too difficult?
