My Wife is disabled so I am trying to replace our bathroom taps with a lever style "reviver" kit to make it a little easier for her to use the sink and bath. I bought 1/2 inch for the basin - removed the main body and just screwed in the replacement. That all went fine.
I bought 3/4 inch for the bath tap. These particular taps are the original ones and have been there since the place was built in the late 1950s.
I removed the main body and tried to screw in the replacements only to find out they are too small. I was under the impression that all bath taps would be 3/4 inch.
I am assuming I will have to replace the whole tap something which is way beyond my limited plumbing knowledge and skills. I can imagine this will cost a couple of hundred quid for a professional to do it.
Silly question I can imagine is 3/4 inch the standard size for a bath taps? If anyone can offer any advice or help it would be very much appreciated.
