Water pressure issue

I live in a flat. The hot water pressure is great in the bathroom and the cold is terrrible and vice versa in the kitchen. As a complete novice i am presuming that this means that somewhere in the flat i could adjust this and even the pressure out in each room. Is this correct, and if so, where do i adjust it? If not, what is the problem?

Look for isolation valves on the pipework, sometimes they're left partly ope, opening these fully will give a better flow rate.

If there's no isolation valves, then it could be a problem with the taps themselves, the rubber washers may have perished and became stuck in the tap.
