Kitchen Sink Won’t Drain but U-Bend is ok?

Hi
Before I admit defeat and get a plumber out, I thought I’d reach out on here to see if anyone can think of anything obvious I’ve missed.
The kitchen sink drains extremely slowly. I’ve taken the u-bend off a number of times, used different lengths pipe cleaners that come back clean and the bicarbonate/vinegar trick a few times.
The sink fills up after two seconds of turning the tap on suggesting to me the waste isn’t flowing round the u-bend (which defines logic) although the pipes immediately after are clear.
Any help you can provide to the confused diy plumber would be fab.
